Thus far, we had an excellent session. Deal 15 was a blot on that record. We failed to bid an easy game losing 10 IMPs. For some reason, Vivek did not open his 4-controls hand although he had an easy risk-free 1♦ opening at his command. When it came to me after two Passes, I chose to preempt 2♠ because of the adverse vulnerability. The good session was one of the reasons why I chose a conservative auction. It turned out to be a wrong time for it. Vivek continued to remain silent. In the Open room, Venky opened the South hand so NS easily reached the Spade game.
Deal 15: 10 IMPs to Formidables.
Total : INDIA BLUES: 31 FORMIDABLES: 26
