This was another 7-IMP pick-up for us. EW did not compete after their side opened and we got to play in 2♥ while South played in 3♥ in the Open room. Vivek got a Spade lead. He won the ♠Ace and played a Club to the Jack. Ruffing the Spade return, Vivek continued with Clubs. West persisted with Spades. Vivek ruffed, cashed the Club winner discarding a Diamond from Dummy, played a Diamond to the King, and exited with a small Diamond to West's Ace. Vivek never took the Heart finesse and he easily made 10 tricks. East-West competed up to 2♠ in the Open room pushing NS to 3♥. I did not know how it went down (Perhaps, the records could be wrong.
